We are so proud and honored to have Mrs. Weekley here at TCMS!!!
"Superintendent Shane Highley recognized Michelle Weekley, a math teacher at Tyler Consolidated Middle School, for being elected president-elect of the West Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics. With 21 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Weekley will serve as president-elect for one year and then president for two years, leading hundreds of math teachers across the state. The district congratulated her on this achievement and looks forward to working with her in her new role." - Randy Rutherford, Tyler Star News

Parents/Guardians – WV State Testing Is Coming Up!
Testing at TCMS begins on Tuesday, April 29, and will continue through May for each grade level. Students will begin testing at 8:30 AM on our testing days.
If your student is tardy, they’ll report to the Student Success Center and complete testing on one of our make-up days.
Help set your child up for success on the WVGSA:
• A good night's sleep
• A healthy breakfast
• A positive mindset
We’re proud of all the hard work this year, and it's time to show what we know! #KnightsPride

Huge thanks to Tiffany King and Debbie Northcraft with Union Bank who came in to talk with our Discover Your Future classes today. They learned about different types of jobs the banks offer and education needed for the jobs, important info about finances, and got to learn how to fill out a check!

Mr. Weekley visited Mrs. Myers and Mrs. Shortridges sixth grade science classrooms today to discuss communication. He demonstrated how fiber optic cable works. He demonstrated slicing and fusing fibers. He ended his discussion by letting the students use hand held radios to compare analog and digital signals. Thank you, Mr. Weekley!

Our 7th grade students had an amazing day last Friday full of adventure and fun!
They kicked off the day exploring the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge – Middle Island and picking out sweet treats at Smith Candy in St. Marys. Afterward, they enjoyed a delicious lunch at Dairy Queen in Sistersville before wrapping up the day visiting a variety of animals at Olive Branch Animal Rescue & Refuge, Inc.
What a memorable field trip filled with learning, laughter, and lots of smiles! A big thank you to our fantastic bus driver as well, Mr. Wells!

Congratulations to the Tyler Consolidated Middle School Bands — the 6th Grade Band and the 7th & 8th Grade Band — for earning Superior ratings from all three adjudicators at the 81st Region I Band Festival.
Each ensemble’s overall rating is determined through evaluation in five distinct subcategories for each selection performed. To provide further insight into this process, an example of one adjudicator’s evaluation for the 6th Grade Band is included below.
This outstanding accomplishment is a reflection of the students’ dedication, discipline, and commitment to musical excellence. The long-standing tradition of superior performance within the Tyler Consolidated Band Program continues, and these students are to be highly commended for their exceptional effort and achievement.
Their hard work and preparation were clearly evident in today’s performances, and the results speak for themselves.

Due to a statewide Internet outage, phones at SES and AIB are down. Please call 304-758-9000 if you need to contact one of those schools.

TC Schools encourages everyone to wear purple on Friday, April 11, to celebrate the Month of the Military Child. The color purple is used because it combines the colors of all branches of the military.
