School attendance is important! We are using a new program this year called "Attendance Pro". You will receive texts from 304-802-8073 when your child is absent. Responses go directly to Ms. Pam. She is able to reply & enter excuses into our system from your text. Pictures of excuses may also be sent to 304-802-8073, which prevents them from getting lost or not turned in at all. Please feel free to reach out to Ms. Pam with any questions or concerns.

🍎 Learning About Johnny Appleseed in First Grade! 🍎

Mrs. Weekley & Mrs. Morris' first graders enjoyed an engaging day of learning about Johnny Appleseed while making connections across multiple subject areas. Students explored his life and contributions through a variety of reading, writing, science, and social studies activities.

Throughout their learning, students strengthened their reading comprehension, practiced communicating their ideas through writing, explored the growth and life cycle of apple trees, and learned about life in the past and Johnny Appleseed’s place in American history.

They loved creating meaningful learning experiences that allow our students to make connections across subjects while having fun along the way! 🍎📚🌱✏️
