The fourth grade students at Sistersville Elementary School celebrated International Dot Day. International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration, began when teacher Terry Shay introduced his classroom to Peter H. Reynolds' book The Dot on September 15, 2009.
A Back to School Fair will be hosted this year. Hygiene products will be distributed at the back to school event. The event will offer services such as dental screening, vision screening, hearing screening and hair trims. This event will also provide families with personnel, programs and agencies that are available through Tyler County Schools to support our students and their families. All Tyler County students who will enter preschool-12th grade for the upcoming school year are eligible to attend the event. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

SES now has a BOOK VENDING MACHINE. Students will be given special tokens as rewards/incentives to use in the vending machine throughout the year. Stop in for the SES Title I Open House/Meet the Teacher night Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6:00--7:00. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!
The SES staff would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Momentive Performance Materials, our Partner in Education, for sponsoring and serving the staff a luncheon on August 18th to kick off the new school year.
