Just a reminder to all parents/guardians that SES students will attend the Harvest Festival Friday, October 6th if the weather cooperates. We will make a decision on the trip first thing in the morning on the day of the field trip.
Friday, October 6th is also an early release day. The elementary schools will dismiss at 1:00. Parent pick up at SES will begin at 1:20. Also, there is no Boys and Girls Club on early release days.

Congratulations to the 2023-2024 SES Student Council! The team is made up of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Student council members are voted on by their peers. Looking forward to a great year with this group!!!


Fifth grade holds their first flashlight reading Friday of the school year on September 29th in Mrs. Smith's reading class!



Sistersville Elementary is holding its book fair this week, October 2nd-6th. Parent shopping day will be on Wednesday the 4th from 8 am- 2 pm, and a copy of your child's wish list will be provided if needed. Cash, checks, credit cards, and eWallet payments are accepted. Today is West Virginia School Service Personnel Day. I would like to take this opportunity to THANK our service staff for all that they do for our students, staff and and/or building. Their efforts are noticed and much appreciated each and every day! Thank you for all you do at SES!!!

Welcome back to school Tyler County!
I am your Communities In Schools Site Coordinator at Sistersville Elementary and I also supervise the program throughout the county. At CIS, we surround students and their families with a community of support, which empowers them to stay in school and achieve in life!

Lace Up for Kids Back-to-School Shoes Program
All school-age children from low-income families, grades Pre-K-12, in Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler & Brooke Counties in WV, and Belmont County, OH, are eligible to receive a free new pair of shoes just in time for the new school year!
Wendy’s, WTOV9, Covestro, EQT, and United Way have partnered to help children in school get new shoes for the new school year. Families can apply for each of their school-age children to get a new pair of sneakers if they live in the counties of Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler & Brooke Counties in WV, and Belmont County, OH.
Applications to receive shoes are due no later than JULY 15th! Families MUST register to participate.

Summer school kicked off this week! The students are having fun sharpening their math and reading skills. STEAM is coming soon!!! There will not be summer school on June 19-20.

Our Communities In Schools of Tyler County Team will be sponsoring a SUMMER SPLASH BASH Wednesday, June 14 from 12:00-6:00 pm. Free swim at the Sistersville City Pool, food will be provided by the Tyler County Schools Summer Feeding Program and the Tyler County FRN (food is free for ages 18 and under and $3.00 for adults), giveaways, games and informational booths.

Every TC teacher, coach, student, and guardian will use Rooms beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
Rooms is a communication app that will replace ALL apps like Remind, Team Reach, and Class Dojo. To access Rooms, students and guardians need to download the TC Schools app, click Rooms in the lower right corner, and sign in.
